Smt. Sonia Gandhi, Congress President inagurated the Exhibition of Rare Portraits of Martyrs of Freedom Movement alongwith Shri Gulam Nabi Azad, Union Minister, Shri Shashi Bhushan and Shri Prashant Chandar in Secular House.

Shashi Bhushan is the founder President of the Institute for Socialist Education (ISE) which was inaugurated by Smt. Indira Gandhi on May 1, 1970. The premises of the ISE, Secular House, located at 1-Aruna Asaf Ali Marg, (Opp: JNU East Gate), New Delhi, has a permanent exhibition on rare portraits of the Martyrs of Freedom Movement which was inaugurated by Smt. Sonia Gandhi. It has another Exhibition on the enlarged Postage Stamps issued in honour of Mahatma Gandhi by 85 countries of five continents.

Gujral, Shri P.V. Narasimha Rao, Shri Chandra Shekhar and Dr. Manmohan Singh the then Leader of Opposition, Smt. Sheila Dikshit, Chief Minister of Delhi, Shri N.D. Tiwari, Governor of Andhra Pradesh, Shri Digvijay Singh, Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Dr. A.R. Kidwai, Governor of Haryana, Dr. K. Keshava Rao, President, APCC, Union Ministers Shri P. Chidambaram, Shri Kapil Sibal, Smt. Ambika Soni, Shri Ram Vilas Paswan, Dr. Karan Singh and Shri Saugata Ray, freedom fighters, historians and students.

The Exhibitions were made mobile and taken to many schools in and around Delhi and to different cities of Madhya Pradesh during Shaheed Smriti Yatra, Uttar Pradesh and Andhra Pradesh.

An exhibition on Smt. Aruna Asaf Ali on the occasion of her Birth centenary was also mounted at Secular House.
